Interpreters in Luxembourg
When someone does not speak the language of a notarial deed, a civil wedding or a hearing, a sworn interpreter is often required. We also provide interpreters for meetings, negotiations, training and conferences, on site or by video.

At the notary or the commune
Buying property, signing a marriage contract or getting married at the commune: if one party does not understand the language used, the notary or civil registrar will usually ask for a sworn interpreter. Book early, so the interpreter's name can be included in the deed or the file.
Business meetings and conferences
For meetings, site visits and events, tell us the date, place, duration, language pair and subject. We choose an interpreter with experience in your field and pass on the preparation material you provide.

Frequent questions
How far ahead should I book?
As early as possible, ideally one to two weeks ahead, and more for rare languages or simultaneous interpreting. We also handle urgent requests when an interpreter is available.
How is interpreting priced?
Usually by half day or full day, plus travel where applicable. Remote interpreting can be booked for shorter slots. Your quote lists every item.
Can the interpreter also translate the documents?
We can coordinate both. It often helps to have the deed or documents translated in advance.
